The Tour of Southland is recognised as New Zealand's leading multi-stage cycling tour. The event has established a proud and colourful history
for over 50 years and continues to attract immense interest both nationally
and internationally. A UCI category 2.2 classification has elevated the race to a new high and we look forward with confidence to making continual improvement to the event. The Southland region eagerly awaits this year's 52nd tour and is proud to host this major sporting occasion, which offers an exciting challenge to all involved. On behalf of the organising committee I extend a warm welcome to all intending riders and visitors and look forward to meeting you in early November. I am sure you will enjoy the experience.
